LOMPOC, Calif. – Hope International concluded round one of the 2026 GSAC Men's Golf Championship in ninth place on Monday.

The Royals shot 46-over par, 14 shots behind eighth place La Sierra. OUAZ emerged as the first round leader after shooting 9-over par.

Top HIU golfer on the 6,799-yard La Purisima Golf Course was Chris Ruiz, who tied for 25th place with an 8-over 80. He birdied the final two holes.

Dominick Rivera tied for 32nd place with a 10-over 82.  Rounding out the Royals lineup was Evan Lambert (t-35th, +11, 83), and Ashtin Mount (t-44th, +17, 89).

The Royals compete in round two on Tuesday.
