LOMPOC, Calif. – Hope International improved by four shots in round two of the 2026 GSAC Men's Golf Championships on Tuesday at La Purisima Golf Course. The Royals remained in ninth place out of 10 teams.

HIU is comfortably in front of Soka – leading the Lions by 54 strokes – and is 32 shots behind eighth place Park Gilbert.

Chris Ruiz is the top HIU individual after shooting a second round 11-over 83. He is tied for 32nd place at 19-over for the tournament.

Improving by one shot was Evan Lambert, who carded a 10-over 82 after shooting an opening round 83. He is tied for 36th place on the leaderboard.

Rounding out the Royal lineup is Dominick Rivera (t-41st, +14, 86), Ashtin Mount (t-41st, +7, 79) and Brooks Perry (50th, +19, 91). Mount had the best round of any Royal with his 79.

HIU concludes competition at the GSAC Championship on Wednesday.
