FULLERTON – Hope International men's tennis won every match in a 7-0 victory against Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday at the Fullerton Tennis Center.

The Royals dropped just a combined six games in easily capturing the doubles point. Thomas Folsom and Sebastien Dizon Perez were particularly dominant at No. 3, earning a 6-1 win over Joe Li and Quinn Monson.

Karan Srivastava notched the fourth and deciding point for HIU at the No. 1 spot. He delivered a 6-0, 6-4 victory against Quinn Monson.

At No. 2, Reid Lizardo outlasted Yash Bahalkar by scores of 7-5, 7-6 (7). The Royals also won tiebreakers at all of the other positions, including Kaito Henderson's 7-6 (4), 1-6, 13-11 triumph over Li on line three.

Mohamed El Sheikh posted a 7-6 (4), 6-3 win against Gonzalo DeLorenzo at the No. 6 position. Sebastian Dizon Perez won his first set, 7-6 (6), before his opponent Ethan Ellor retired prior to the second set at No. 5.

The Royals also got a win from Thomas Folsom at No. 4. He defeated Ali Derbani by scores of 6-1, 7-6 (6).

HIU continues a stretch of four matches in four days, traveling to Azusa Pacific for a 2:00 p.m. contest on Thursday.
