Hope International men's tennis received two of the top honors in the GSAC as Sebastien Dizon Perez was named Freshman of the Year and Karan Srivastava Newcomer of the Year on Wednesday.

In addition, Srivastava and Reid Lizardo appeared on the GSAC's nine player All-Conference Team.

Perez compiled a 7-10 singles record across three spots in the lineup, going 2-3 at No. 3, 2-2 at No. 4 and 3-5 at No. 5 in his debut season. He added eight doubles victories, including a 5-3 mark with Lizardo in the No. 2 position. Perez contributed to HIU's success in playing multiple spots in the lineup for both singles and doubles.

Srivastava, a native of Bandung, Indonesia, posted an 11-7 record playing exclusively at No. 1 singles in 2026. He defeated opponents from Westmont, OUAZ and Biola. In doubles, he had a 10-10 record with partners Mohamed El Sheikh, Kaito Henderson, Lizardo and Thomas Folsom. The Eastern Illinois transfer's presence helped the Royals win six of seven matches at one point this season.

Lizardo notched eight singles and nine doubles victories while contributing mostly at No. 2 singles, and in the top two doubles positions. Among his victories, he defeated an opponent from No. 25 Stanton as well as GSAC member OUAZ.

The Royals take their No. 4 seed into Thursday's GSAC Championship First Round against OUAZ. First serve is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
