SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Hope International men's tennis notched its third straight victory, defeating San Diego City College 6-3 on Friday at the Odus Morgan Tennis Center.
Sebastien Dizon Perez claimed the deciding point – the fifth of the match for the Royals – as he downed Jacques Allende 6-1, 6-1.
The Royals earned three more points in singles, with Karan Srivastava posting an impressive 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 over Hunter Lynch.
Kaito Henderson was a 6-1, 7-5 victor against Alan Aragon at the fours, and Kento Henderson blanked Sebastian Pineda 6-0, 6-0 in the sixth spot.
HIU also tallied two points in doubles, with Reid Lizardo and Perez posting an 8-4 triumph against Allende and Jun Dilmaghanian at No. 2. In addition, Dylan Barrett and Kaito Henderson rolled to an 8-2 victory against Aragon and Pineda at No. 3.
The Royals return to GSAC play traveling to OUAZ for a Thursday, March 26 contest at 2:00 p.m.
