Fullerton, CA - The Hope International men's and women's track and field team turned in strong performances at the West Coast Relays at Fresno State in Fresno, CA this past weekend.
The Ryals kicked off a great performance at the West Coast Relays at the famous Bulldog Stadium at Fresno State.Â
Caleb Ornelas led the group with a big personal record and great performance in the 1500 clocking in at 4:01.00. Not too far behind was
Daniel Perez who also hit a personal record of 4:06.00.Â
Andy Avalos then came in with a solid performance in 4:27.Â
The Royals continued with great results in the 800 meter dash which was led by with a Perez time of 1:59.00, Ornelas with 2:08,
Diego Pineda with a solid result of 2:03, and rounding the men's 800 was
Andy Avalos with 2:09. Great job guys!
The women also had some great performances and solid personal records for the royals team.Â
Lupe Mata ran a great time in the 800 at 2:31.00, and Jazmine Zambrano rounded out the women's 800 in 2:55.00. Lupe also recorded a time of 31.05 in the 200 only after her second attempt this season taking almost a second off her last time. Great job ladies!
