Fullerton, CA - Mia Heidt of the Hope International women's basketball team has been named GSAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time as announced by the Great Southwest Athletic Conference on Monday afternoon.

A graduate student from Rowland Heights, CA Heidt helped lead the Royals to a 60-48 win as she put up a double double with a career high 16 rebounds to go with 20 points to secure the fourth seed in the GSAC Tournament after starting 0-5. It was Heidt's ninth double double of the season and her sixth in the last seven games. Her six points and six rebounds in the fourth quarter helped secure the Royals victory as she scored six of eight points in the fourth quarter and led the defense to only allow seven.
