Fullerton, CA - The Hope International men's outdoor track and field team continued their season with strong performances at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite in Claremont, CA on Saturday, April 8.
The first new school record was set by
Ricardo Cruz in the 1500m with a time of 3:59.02 finishing in 6
th place in his heat. Cruz improved his time by over 4 seconds and beat the old school record by 1 second. With Cruz's time he now has the #13 fastest time in the GSAC and #40 fastest time in the NAIA. The second new school record was set by
Teddy Ochieng in the 100m with a time of 11.49, winning his heat. Ochieng broke the school record in his first time running the 100m. Ochieng's time ranks him #14 in the GSAC.
