Teddy Ochieng continued his season by competing in the Long Jump at the Oxy Invitational held at Occidental College on Saturday, May 6^th. Ochieng was working on a few things in preparation for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships held May 24-26 at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. 

Ochieng was working on his approach to the board during the competition at the Oxy Invite.  He barely qualified for the Finals with his 3^rd and final jump of 6.63m.  By qualifying for the Finals, Ochieng was able to receive 3 more jumps. Ochieng was then able to improve by jumping 7.02m on his 5^th attempt placing him 6^th overall. This was Ochieng's last competition in preparation before the NAIA National Championships. Ochieng's best mark in the Long Jump this season is 7.18m which ranks him 24^th in the NAIA.
