MARSHALL, Mo. – Five Hope International men's wrestlers competed at the prestigious Missouri Valley Open on Friday and Saturday, with Ezekiel Hueter highlighting the performances with three victories in the consolation bracket. 

Hueter opened competition in the 174-pound bracket with a tough loss by decision (14-9) to Southeastern's Ty Rodriguez. He moved to the consolation bracket, overwhelming Micahel Ager of the University of Saint Mary with a win by a tech fall (20-4) at 5:39.

He next faced Nicholas Oji of Avila, gaining a 4-2 win by decision. Hueter then earned a major decision (13-4) victory over Briar Cliff's Ethan Gregg.

Hueter's run in the bracket ended with a 15-7 major decision loss to Jagger Tyler of Dakota Wesleyan.

Other Royals to compete went 0-2 with Landen Prather (141 pounds), Jacob Ramirez (157), Nicolas Naranjo (157) and Alonzo Cardona (285) facing tough competition.

The Royals return to the mat at Vanguard on Wednesday, February 11 with action beginning at 7:30 p.m.
