Fullerton, CA - Three members of the Hope International baseball program have been named All-American as announced by the NAIA on Wednesday morning.
Trey Seeley received First Team honors while
Josh Landry was named to the Second Team and
David Shackelford the Third Team.
A senior transfer in his second and final year from Cypress College Seeley was named an All American for the first time after leading the Royals back to the NAIA World Series for the second year in a row. Seeley set new program single season records for wins and ERA finishing the season with a 12-1 record while leading the NAIA with a 1.72 ERA over 99.1 innings pitched. A native of Huntington Beach, CA Seeley was named GSAC Pitcher of the Year after helping lead the Royals to their fifth GSAC Regular Season Championship. Seeley becomes the sixth Royal to receive NAIA First Team All-American honors and is the first since teammate
JJ Cruz in 2024.
A junior transfer in his second season from Cypress College Landry was named an All American for the first time after ranking in the top of five of the country for ERA most of the season. A native of Long Beach, CA Landry finished the season with the third best ERA in program history going 11-2 with a 2.51 ERA and 98 strikeouts over 82.1 innings pitched. An All-GSAC recipient Landry only allowed one home run in 299 at bats.
A junior transfer in his first season from Pima College Shackelford was named an All American for the first time after helping lead the Royals offense all season. Shackelford set a new single season program record for walks with 53 while batting .406 with seven home runs and 45 RBI. A native of La Habra, CA Shackelford was named GSAC Player of the Year after helping lead the Royals to their fifth GSAC Regular Season Championship while also leading the team with 74 runs scored and a .543 OBP.
