Fullerton, CA- The Royals made history tonight, beating the Vanguard Lions 18-9 in the first match up of the season. This is the first win in program history against the lions and the Royals lead the scoreboard for the entirety of the game.
First quarter the Royals dominated the partner stunts and shut out the lions 4-0. Second quarter the Lions got on the score board tying on both level 6 and 2 in pyramids, but the Royals came back strong in the next 2 rounds and ended 8-2 going into halftime. Jumps and tumbling in quarter three were the lion's strength against the Royals in the past but the royals picked up 2 points winning level 6 and tying level 3 to bring the Royals to a 10-5 score going into the final quarter. The Royals dominated quarter four as well and scored 8 points to Vanguards 4 points.
