HIU Cheer Qualifies For UCA College Nationals in All Girl Group Stunt

Memphis, TN - Hope International University's inaugural cheer team qualified two all girl group stunt groups to compete at the Universal Cheerleaders Assocation College Nationals in Orlando, Florida. With over 30 submissions, the Royals 2 groups are made up of Sophia Rosendale, Nicole Contreras, Mackenzie Flowers, Kaitlyn Kelly, Kamea Binnquist, Jamie Goldman, Daisy Yarasca and Ivy Martinez- all dual sport athletes.   The teams placed 10th and 11th and received an invite to compete at the prestigious event. 
The Royals competed against long standing D1 cheer programs with incredible records of wins at the competition. HIU is the only NAIA school to qualify to compete at the National compeition.
This is an incredible achievement as only the top 10 Division IA Mascots, the top 5 Open Mascots, the top 20 Coed couples, and the top 17 All Girl groups have been invited to participate in this Championship. 
The Royals Group stunt athletes will be traveling to Orlando Florida in January.
