Brookings, SD – Hope International Women's Indoor Track & Field runner Emma Timmermans competed at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships last week finishing the season with a record breaking performance at Sanford Jackrabbit Athletic Complex in Brookings, South Dakota.

Timmermans wrapped up her Indoor Track & Season with a huge 24 second PR in the 5,000m as she ran a tough race in the Semi-Finals finishing 9th place in her heat and 15th overall.  Emma needed to finish in the Top 12 in order to qualify for the Finals. Despite coming up short her time of 17:56.34 set a new school record and she looks forward to beginning her Outdoor Track Season.
