Timmermans Nabs NAIA Qualifying Time and School Record at OIDFE Invite

Claremont, CA - The Hope International women's Track and Field team kicked off their season on Saturday, January 28th at 12:00 PM at the OIDFE Challenge Meet hosted by Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA

The Lady Royals opened up the Indoor season on Saturday at Claremont McKenna College.  Emma Timmermans broke her School Record and achieved the NAIA "B" standard in the 3000m by placing 5th with a time of 10:24.97.  Arlene Magana ran 11:42.56 finishing in 18th, Ashley Carabes ran 12:03.80 in 21st and Aurora Couto finished 22nd with a time of 12:04.73. Sofia Gutierrez, ran 8.76 in the 60m and 29.31 in the 200m.  Freshman, Rayanne Dietrich, ran 8.64 in the 60m and 28.48 in the 200m.  The Lady Royals finished the day in 4th place in the 1600m Relay with a time of 4:57.11.  Overall, the Lady Royals had a great start to their Indoor season.  Next race is February 11th at Westmont College.
