Royals Win 2 of 3 at Jessup Tournament

Rocklin,CA- The Royals traveled up north for a three game tournament. Hiu dominated early against the NCAA Division 1 UC Davis Aggies in the first of their two games. The Royals led 8-0 at halftime and continued to be in the lead the entire game. The first game ended with a score of 21-4 .Jasmine Rincon (55) Kamea Binnquist (53) Mackenzie Ellison (51) Jamie Goldman (50) Natasha Turner (46) and Angie Castanon (46) were the powers players of game 1.

Game 2 of the first day was the second match up of the Royals and the Aggies. The Royals were consistent in their scoring and ended the game with a 22-3 score. Power players for game 2 were Kamea Binnquist ( 58) Jamie Goldman( 56) Jasmine Rincon (55) Kenzie Ellison ( 54) and Angie Castanon (52).

The toughest game in the tournament came against last year NAIA national champions, William Jessup University. The Royals suffered a minor injury in tumbling of one of the key flyers the night before and had to put substitutes in place for many routines. The Royals still managed to put 6 points on the scoreboard. Final score was 17-6. The power players for game 3 were Lindsea Britton, Angie Castanon, Jasmine Rincon, Kamea Binnquist and Jamie Goldman, all with 11 power points each.

The royals now have a 6-3 record.
