Loredo-Suarez Scores A Brace To Leads Royals Past Warriors

Irvine, CA – The Hope International men's soccer team's (4-1-2) ended their goalless drought and got back on the winning track as they took down the Life Pacific University Warriors 3-0 on Thursday evening at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA

The Royals leaped into attack mode from the first whistle as they looked to end a two game goalless drought. Early on it looked like the Royals had drawn penalty but it was called off as the game moved on scoreless late in the first half. Then after a barrage of chances the Royals would finally end their drought and open the scoring in the 38th minute as Willy Loredo-Suarez made a solo run into the box and finished into the bottom corner to make it 1-0 going into halftime. The Royals once again took it to the Warriors in the second half drawing a red card on a last man foul as they would finish the game up a man. That led to even more chances for the Royals as they added to their lead in the 59th minute as Marc Trejo scored his first of the season to make it 2-0. Later in the game Loredo-Suarez would score again on a solo run into the box to increase the Royals advantage to 3-0. The Royals backline also stood tall and didn't let the Warriors get off many shots as the Royals emerged victorious 3-0. Lewis Blanton recorded one save in the win.

The Royals will return to action at home on Saturday, September 24 as they take on La Sierra at 7:30 PM at OC Great Park Soccer Stadium in Irvine, CA
