Biography

13/14 (Jr)- Played in 22 games and made two starts… Averaged 3.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.1 assists… Produced her career high of 14 points against Bethesda… Scored 11 points and dealt a season high five assists against Lindenwood-Belleville (IL)… Grabbed a season high seven rebounds against Bethesda in season opener… Helped the Royals advance to their first ever NAIA National Tournament appearance after winning their first ever GSAC Tournament Championship.

12/13 (So)- Played in all 31 games with 10 starts… Averaged 2.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.9 steals… Scored a season high 10 points in back-to-back games against Concordia and Arizona Christian- interestingly enough neither game was one of her 10 starts… Secured a career high 10 rebounds against Vanguard… Dished out a career high 6 assists in the season opener against Bethesda

11/12 (Fr)- Played in 24 games with one start… Averaged 2.3 points and 1.8 rebounds… Had 17 assists along with 15 steals… Scored a season high 9 points at Point Loma Nazarene… Grabbed a season high 6 rebounds on the road at Vanguard

Whittier High School- Four years Varsity… Helped Cardinals win four straight Del Rio League Championships (including going undefeated in league in 2009 and 2011)… Named Team MVP, First/Second Team All-Del Rio League and First/Second Team All-Area… Named WHS Female Athlete of the Year… Averaged 8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.5 steals as Senior… Also participated in Track as Freshman… Named to Principal’s List and Cardinal 75 Club… Earned Academic Letter

Personal- Parents Ray Chavez and Armeda Casarez… Brothers- Raymond, Rene, and Andrew, Sister- Alyssa… Chose Hope to start a different life in a new environment and play basketball… Enjoys eating, playing the video game Black Ops, shoe shopping, listening to music, and dancing… Major is Business Management with a concentration in Sports Management… Wants to coach or be a sports event planner.
