Jessica Case enters her fifth season at the helm of Hope International women's basketball. She enters the 2026-27 season with a career record of 76-37.
She joined the Royals in September 2022 after a stint at California Baptist University, where she served as the Assistant Head Coach for their women's basketball program from 2012-22. She helped the Lancers to a 234-80 record and a .745 winning percentage. They were 83-37 in NCAA Division I, while also posting a 45-19 record in Western Athletic Conference games.
Case has guided the Royals to four consecutive winning seasons. The 2022-23 and 2025-26 finished with 24 victories, tying for second all-time in program single-season history. In those seasons, Case led the Royals to the NAiA Tournament for the third and fourth times in school history.Â
The Royals also won the GSAC Tournament in her first season in 2022-23. In 2025-26, HIU captured both the GSAC regular season and tournament titles for the first time in school history. HIU finished 15-1 in conference play last season as Case earned her first GSAC Coach of the Year award.
While at California Baptist, Case helped the Lancers claim the 2020-21 regular season and WAC Tournament Championships as well as earning their first two WNIT postseason victories with the first coming against New Mexico in round one. They then defeated San Francisco in round two with a WNIT record setting .633 field goal percentage. Overall, she helped the program to four WNIT appearances, three Pac West Conference Championships, three NCAA DII Tournament appearances including Final Four appearances in 2017 and 2015 with the later ending in a runner up finish. Players under her also picked up accolades as she coached six First Team All-Conference athletes, one WAC Player of the Year, one NCAA All-West Region player and West Region Most Outstanding Player.
Prior to CBU, Case spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at UC Santa Barbara where she was part of the team's 2012 Big West Tournament Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance as well as the team's 2011 conference co-championship and WNIT bid.
Case is familiar with the GSAC having graduated from Westmont College in 2010 where she played four years on the women's basketball team finishing with career records in points scored (1,387), points per game (12.4) and field goal attempts (1,211). She is also second in the Westmont record books in both 3-pointers made (207) and free throws made (280). Case was named All-GSAC as a senior and helped guide the Warriors to the NAIA playoffs in three of the four years she was there.Â
After earning her bachelor's degree from Westmont College in Liberal Studies, Case graduated with a master's degree in special education, disabilities and risk studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2012.
A native of Yorba Linda, Case played basketball at El Dorado High School where she was All-CIF and All-Orange County.
