Dustin Hildebrand enters his fifth season as the lead assistant coach on Jessica Case's staff at Hope International.
He has helped the Royals to success in his four seasons, including trips to the NAIA Tournament in 2023 and 2026. Under his tutelage, Hildebrand guided HIU to the GSAC regular season title in his first season in 2023, and both the GSAC regular season and tournament titles in 2026.
Prior to joining HIU, Hildebrand was at Sacred Heart of Jesus High School in Los Angeles for four years. At Sacred Heart, the program tied for the league championship three years in a row and made it to the CIF-SS playoffs all four years.
In college, he was the head-student team manager for the men's basketball team at Shippensburg University for three years. In this role, he learned the X's and O's of the game of basketball in high detail and the operational side of a collegiate athletic department helping turn around a 3-23 program into a conference finalist.
Originally from Littlestown, Pennsylvania, Hildebrand moved to California in 2018 after receiving his Master's degree from Arizona State University. He also works for the Special Olympics Southern California as a Senior Manager of Competition.
In his personal time, he enjoys going to the beach and going on hikes. He loves spending time in the outdoors and recently summited Mount Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states.
