Miguel Bautista was brought on as the men's soccer goalkeeper coach in 2021. Prior to HIU, Bautista has been the goalkeeper coach at Legends FC since 2016, goalkeeper coach for Fullerton Rangers from 2007-2015,  and currently is the goalkeeper coach at Fullerton Community College.

Bautista also brings his own soccer career experience to the program as he played professional soccer in Mexico from 1983-1989. 

Bautista received his undergraduate degree from Guadalajara University, Masters at University Anahuc City of Mexico, Masters at MiPorteria Madrid España, Masters at Chilean Football Federation, and has also received Advanced Goalkeeper Diploma NCAA.

Miguel has been married to his wife for 30 years with two kids, Miguel and Ignacio. He enjoys reading, has obtained a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and attends many congressional goalkeeper events/online classes for goalkeeping.
