Gabriel Lucatero took over as Interim Head Coach of the men's soccer program in 2024. Prior to that he served as the lead Assistant Coach for the Royals for two years.Â
Lucatero's coaching experience includes coaching for over 13 years with California Rush as their cofounder and president based out of Huntington Beach with various teams from U15 to Semi-pro UPSL. He also served for nine years as the Varsity Head Coach at Marina High School and six years as the Academy Scout with LAFC.
Lucatero graduated with a degree in Electronic Engineering from I.T.T in 1998 and has been married for more than 20 years to Maria and is father to four children: Randie, Rayleen, Raynathan and Isabella, and has two grandchildren: Isaiah and RJ.Â
