Prior to Hope: Attended Pepperdine University for three years … Competed on the varsity baseball team for three seasons … Made one appearance his freshman season with one strikeout in an inning of work … Went 2-0 in 8.2 innings of work and nine appearances with three strikeouts his sophomore season … Threw 12 strikeouts and walked three in 19.1 innings of work and 13 appearances his junior season … Helped his team to two WCC Tournament Championships, two NCAA Regional appearances, and one Super Regional appearance.

Oxnard HS: Competed on the varsity baseball team for three seasons … Threw 217 strikeouts in 170+ innings pitched with a career 1.68 ERA … Named First Team All-League, Second Team All-CIF, Second Team All-County, and All-League Honorable Mention during his career … Did not play his senior season.
