KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Culminating one of the most illustrious careers in a Hope International baseball uniform, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) named Josh Landry the 2026 NAIA National Pitcher of the Year and a First Team All-American on Thursday.
Landry posted an 11-3 record with a 1.70 ERA – the second-lowest in the NAIA this season and No. 1 in the school's single-season record book. He struck out 109 batters in 84.2 innings and issued just 13 walks.
The 11 wins tied for second-most in HIU single-season history, while the 109 strikeouts ranked fourth all-time. The southpaw struck out 10 or more hitters six times, including 13 against Benedictine Mesa and The Master's. He also tossed four shutouts, accomplishing the feat in his final two starts against BENU and Texas A&M-Victoria in the GSAC Tournament and NAIA Opening Round, respectively.
Landry also entered the top-10 in HIU single-season annals for fewest walks allowed per nine innings (4th – 1.38) and most strikeouts per nine innings (7th – 11.58).
In addition to earning GSAC Pitcher of the Year in 2026 and landing on the GSAC All-Conference Team for the third straight season, Landry finished his career ranked No. 1 in wins (27), strikeouts (293), complete games (8) and shutouts (6). His 2.92 ERA also ranks seventh in the Royals career record book.
