FULLERTON – Hope International registered an impressive 7-0 men's tennis victory against Mt. SAC on Wednesday at the Fullerton Tennis Center. 

The Royals have won six of their last seven contests to improve to 9-10 on the season.

The Royals won all three doubles matches to secure the point, fighting for a pair of 6-4 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions from Reid Lizardo and Sebastien Dizon Perez, and Dylan Barrett and Kaito Henderson, respectively.

HIU dominated singles play, surrendering just 13 games across the six positions on the ladder.

David Gutierrez won by a 6-0, 6-0 bagel at No. 6 over Zayniddin Khusainov.

At No. 4, Kento Henderson gave up just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Micah Welch.

Kaito Henderson and Barrett won by identical 6-1, 6-2 scores at No. 2 and No. 5 against Daniel Ochoa and Sage Romejko, respectively.

The top spot belonged to Karan Srivastava, who downed Benjamin Villalobos 6-3, 6-0, while Perez was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 3 against Rick Sun.

HIU hosts Biola on Thursday at the Fullerton Tennis Center. First serve is at noon.
