RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Hope International men's tennis got singles wins from Reid Lizardo and Sebastien Dizon Perez, but lost 7-2 to Riverside City College on Saturday at the Fran Bushman Tennis Courts.

Lizardo was a 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 winner at No. 1 over Ronith Sreeram, while Dizon Perez took down Matias Almeida in a 4-6, 6-1, 11-9 decision at No. 5. 

Mohamed El Sheikh competed well at No. 3 before falling to Charalampos Plataniotis 7-5, 6-4. Kento Henderson also had a close match with Ethan Lee at No. 6, but Lee prevailed 6-4, 7-6 (5).

The Royals lost at all three positions in doubles.

HIU is now 2-6 on the season.

The Royals host Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday, March 4 at noon.
