Senior Amira Austin earned Great Southwest Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week accolades with a solid effort against Life Pacific.

Austin, a native of West Covina, registered her fifth double-double and fifth straight double-digit rebounding effort, finishing with 12 points and 13 rebounds in Hope International's 67-57 win on Saturday. Ten of her 13 rebounds came on the defensive end, and she added a steal and a blocked shot. The 6-1 forward also tied her career high with four assists.

The Royals next play on Tuesday at home against The Master's.
