VENTURA, Calif. – The trio of Hope International women's golfers opened their fall season at the CA State Intercollegiate hosted by Cal Lutheran, with Miranda Cervantes, Bella Soto and Yuliana Fernandez combining for six birdies over the 36-hole event.

Cervantes was HIU's top finisher as she tied for 24th overall in the 56-player field. She carded a +14 aggregate 158 score, shooting 7-over in both rounds. She birdied hole 1 in round one and hole 2 in round two.

Soto and Fernandez both tied for 34th place with identical +18 showings.

Soto had her two birdies take place on hole 7 in round one and hole 15 in round 2, while Fernandez earned birdies on hole 15 in round one and hole 1 in round two.

The Royals play their next tournament at the Sundance Invite in Buckeye, Ariz. on September 23-24.
