Riverside, CA – The Hope International University women's cross country team kicked off their 2024 season at the Irvine Invitational with Emma Timmermans winning the 6K race overall.

Timmermans finished 1st out of 138 runners with a time of 21:46.0 in the 6K Invite. Lupe Mata and Jazmin Zambrano also competed with Mata finishing 65th in a time of 24:35.8 and Zambrano finishing 74th with a time of 24:50.0.

The Royals will return to action at The Master's Invitational on Saturday, October 5 at 8:45 AM at Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA
