Fullerton, CA - The Hope International University women's basketball team (15-3, 8-1 GSAC) won their third game in a row as they used a big second quarter to defeat the Life Pacific University Warriors (5-14) on Saturday afternoon in the Darling Pavilion.

Ana Resendiz hit back-to-back threes to give the Royals a lead of 13-6. Out of the timeout, the battle did not stop as the Royals ended with a nine-point lead of 20-11 at the end of the quarter. To start the second quarter, the reign of the Royals did not end withÂ

Shailissa Jarrett hitting key buckets to bring the score to 28-11. While the Royals continued their scoring run, the Warriors showed no spirit of resistance. The Royals had a 20-point advantage with one-half of the quarter remaining. The Royals had two players in double figures: Resendiz scored 19 points, while
Jeanette Fine scored 13. The Royals established themselves a 25-point advantage before the end of the quarter to lead 55-30 at the break.
The third quarter for the Royals was off to the same fast start as the second, scoring four early baskets. As they continued to play, the Warriors quickly added four more points. The Royals continued to dominate though, scoring 23 points in the third quarter to further their advantage. With a score of 78-42, the Royals now had a 36-point advantage thanks to consecutive threes to add to the Royals' lead. Strongly finishing the game, the Royals triumphed 93-53 with a 40-point advantage. Four Royals women scored in double figures, led by Fine's astounding 20 points.Â
