Royals Continue Unbeaten Run With 3-0 Shutout Over Warriors

Santa Barbara, CA – The Hope International men's soccer team (9-1-4, 4-0-2) continued their unbeaten run with an impressive 3-0 shutout against Westmont on Saturday afternoon in Santa Barbara, CA.

The Royals came out firing from the whistle and it didn't take them long to take the lead as Willy Loredo Suarez raced up the sideline and passed the ball to Dario Robles who finished to put the Royals up 1-0 in the 12th minute. The Royals continued to control play as they went into halftime up 1-0. The Royals once again pressed forward from the start in the second half and they would breakthrough quickly as Loredo-Suarez scored a wonderful goal from ten yards out in the 50th minute to make it 2-0 Royals. The Royals would then add a third in the 71st minute as Marc Trejo passed the ball to Robles who crossed it into the box where Diego Lopez finished it home to make it 3-0. Meanwhile the Royals defense led by goalkeeper Oscar Sierra continued to keep the Warriors at bay as he recorded one save in the 3-0 shutout victory bringing his shutout streak to 180 minutes. 

The Royals continue GSAC play on the road as they take on Life Pacific on Saturday, October 22 at 12:00 PM in San Dimas, CA.
