Coach Kevin Monahan coached the last six years at Cypress College as their assistant coach. Kevin was a part of 5 Orange Empire Championships (two undefeated 21-0). Coach Kevin was a part of the first CalJC team to have a perfect record 48-0 for a state championship in 2017. Coach Kevin when not coaching the Royals provides private hitting lessons 5 days a week.

Coach Kevin is married to Head Coach Holly Monahan and they are accompanied by their daughter Grace. They are a part of the St. Iranaeus Parish in Cypress, CA. Coach Kevin was a 3 year letterman in baseball at John F Kennedy High School in La Palma, CA and transferred to Long Beach City College to continue his baseball career for two more years. He began coaching with his father Tom Monahan coaching the SoCal Stars baseball Club and moved onto coaching freshman baseball at Kennedy High School. In 2014 he began coaching softball at Cypress College before joining us at Hope International University where he will be working with our hitters and outfielders. When not coaching Kevin can be found with his family or out antiquing.
