COACHING EXPERIENCE
Holly Monahan became Head Coach of Hope International Softball for the 2019-2020 season. Prior to taking on the position of head coach, Coach Monahan had joined prior Coach Blas' coaching staff in the fall of 2016. A former utility infielder for Mt. San Antonio College and CSU Fullerton, Monahan brings a wealth of experience and familiarity with the local junior college and NCAA Division I levels of competition to the Royals' program.
Monahan helped drive the team in 2019 to its second GSAC Tournament title, as well as an NAIA Opening Round berth in the Southern Oregon Bracket.
Monahan helped the Royals set new marks for most wins (47), best ranking (6th), and runs scored (389) in 2018 as the team captured its first GSAC Regular Season and Tournament titles, as well as an NAIA Opening Round berth in the Fayette Bracket.
Monahan assisted with a second consecutive GSAC Tournament appearance in her first season on staff in 2017, working with the Royals to get back over .500 as a program with a 30-17 record on the year. Working with Coach Blas, Monahan assisted in securing what was the Royals' best finish in GSAC (12-12) to date and three All-GSAC honors for the Royals' roster during the season.
