Coach Alena De La Torre serves as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Hope International University softball program, specializing in infield development and player mentorship. Distinguished Playing Career
Before transferring to Hope International University, Alena made significant contributions at El Camino College, where she earned recognition for her defensive skills and consistent performance on the infield. At HIU, she continued to excel, earning a spot on the 2023 GSAC All-Conference Team and receiving the GSAC Gold Glove Award for her outstanding defensive plays. She was also named GSAC Player of the Week in February 2023 and served as a team captain for the 2023–2024 season.
Coaching Impact
As a volunteer assistant coach, Coach De La Torre focuses on refining infield techniques, improving defensive strategies, and fostering strong communication and teamwork among players.
