Coach Lowe comes to HIU after many years of coaching in Southern California.  He was a Boys’ Varsity Basketball Coach for 26 years at Hacienda Heights Wilson (1983-86), San Gorgonio (1986-90), and La Serna (1990-2012) High Schools. During his 26 seasons his teams won 16 league championships, a CIF championship and a state championship.  He spent four years as the head coach at Rio Hondo College (2013-17).  Dating back to 2000 coach Lowe’s 2014-15 squad was the winningest team at Rio Hondo with 17 wins and the only team with a playoff appearance and win.  Coach Lowe’s teams have totaled over 500 wins.  He has won many coaching awards including Foothill Conference Co-Coach of the year in his first season as a college coach and is a member of the SCIBCA hall of fame.  He and his wife Tammy live in Brea.
