Dwayne Fells enters his second season as the strength and conditioning coach for the Royals.

Prior to becoming the strength coach, Fells served, and continues to serve as an athletic development specialist for athletes in their respective sports. Dwayne carries certifications ranging from strength and conditioning, recovery therapy, movement specialist, corrective exercises, used to best equip his athletes for healthy longevity in correspondence to obtaining elite physical, mental, and spiritual advancements. Fells’ versatility stems from athletes of all levels, ranging from youth, high school, collegiate, professional and even senior levels, and the variety of sports and wellness that accompanies them. 

Fells played under coach Czech at Fullerton Union High School holding accolades of Freeway League MVP, All-League, and All-CIF Honors, as well as McDonalds All-American Nominee before graduating in 2008. Fells then went on to play collegiate basketball for Cal Poly Pomona (2008-2012), where he played in back to back National Championship games, falling short in 2009, and taking home a Division 2 National Championship in 2010. Fells held All Tournament West-Region team accolades for that 2010 Championship year, and would go on to play against former Duke, turned NBA players in Kyrie Irving, Kyle Singler, Mason Plumlee, Miles Plumlee, and Seth Curry the following year (2011).

Dwayne is the younger sibling to retired NFL players Daniel, and Darren Fells who also played basketball under coach Czech at Fullerton Union High School, before completing their respective professional football careers. Fells participates within community gatherings, consistently partnering with Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Toy and Food Drive for families in need, every year around Christmas. Fells stays in Cypress and attends Eastside Christian Church in Anaheim.Â
