Prior to Hope- Played one season for the University of Arizona Wildcats and one season for the Riverside Community College Tigers...as a freshman at U of A had a batting avg of .320...as a sophomore at RCC had a batting avg of .275. 

JW North High School- played 4 seasons on varsity for the Huskies...Helped his team to be league champions...Received First Team All League...freshman BA: .315, sophomore BA: .330, junior BA: .386, senior BA: .416.

Personal- Parents- Yvonne and Paul Martinez...Siblings- Paul, Alyssa, and Jacob...Major is Liberal Studies and plans to become a trainer.
