Prior to Hope: Attended Cerritos College for two years … Competed on the varsity baseball team for two seasons … Hit .308 and was 6-2 on the mound with a 1.94 with 34 strikeouts his freshman season … Hit .233 and was 5-2 on the mound with a 1.67 with 75 strikeouts his sophomore season … Helped his team to a Conference Championship his freshman season … Named First Team All-South Coast Conference twice.

Mayfair HS: Competed on the varsity baseball team for three seasons in Lakewood … Hit .456 and was 10-2 with a 1.56 ERA his senior season … Hit .356 his junior season … Hit .341 his sophomore season … Helped his team to three straight League championships … Named First Team All-League three times … First Team All-CIF, Team MVP, McDonald’s 2013 Performer of the year his senior season.
