Prior to Hope: Attended Orange Coast College for two years … Competed on the varsity baseball team for two seasons … Hit .310 his freshman season and .270 his sophomore season … Team was Conference Champion and made the State Finals his freshman season … Team won the State Championship his sophomore season.

Etiwanda/Alta Loma HS: Competed on the varsity baseball teams for four seasons … Hit .380 through four seasons … Named Second Team All-League and All-League Honorable Mention … Also competed on the varsity football team for two seasons … Named Second Team All-League in football his junior year.
