Prior to Hope: Attended Cypress College for two years … Competed on the varsity baseball team for two seasons … Threw 75 innings with a 2.56 ERA, one win, and 52 strikeouts in 42 appearances … Team was crowned State Champions in 2013 … Named Second Team All-League in 2012.

Lakewood HS: Competed on the varsity baseball team for two seasons … Threw 75 innings with a 1.59 ERA, 11 wins, and 65 strikeouts in 34 appearances …Helped his team to a 29-5-1 and two Moore League Championships … Team made Quarterfinals in 2010 and the Semifinals in 2011 … Named First Team All-Moore League and a Dream Team Selection his senior season.
