LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hope International pitcher Kaitlyn Maaske received recognition from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association as an NAIA All-Region IV Second Team honoree on Friday.
The sophomore right-hander posted a 15-12 record with a 2.71 ERA in 2026. She struck out 110 batters in 173.1 innings pitched, ranking sixth in HIU single-season history in both categories. In 31 appearances – 25 of which were starts – she logged 22 complete games with three shutouts and three saves.
Maaske struck out a career-high nine hitters in a one-hit shutout of La Sierra on April 17. She fanned five or more batters on 10 different occasions.
Through two seasons as a Royal, the La Verne native ranks in the school's career top 10 in several categories, including wins (33 - 7th), ERA (2.47 – 10th), strikeouts (180 - 7th) and appearances (65 - 8th).
Maaske's selection marks the fourth straight season the Royals have had an All-Region representative. She is the 12th Royal to claim All-Region honors since 2016.
