Hope International baseball was awarded GSAC weekly honors with Isaiah Lane and Franky Lopez named the Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
Both players played a role in HIU's outscoring Embry-Riddle 44-2 in a four-game series sweep.
Lane hit .583 (7-for-12) with two doubles, one triple and two home runs. He scored 11 runs and drove in four more, adding four walks and three stolen bases. Lane had a .706 on-base percentage and 1.417 slugging percentage. He homered in back-to-back games.
It was Lane's second weekly honor this season.
Lopez struck out a career-high nine batters while throwing 6.0 shutout innings in a 16-0 victory against the Eagles on Thursday. He allowed just three hits and two walks.
