HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Hope International lost a tough men's volleyball match in five sets to Westcliff on Tuesday at Golden West College, as set scores were 21-25, 25-19, 25-23, 24-26, 15-11.
Alessandro Spendolini led the Royals with 17 kills and 10 digs for his second consecutive double-double. Jah'mi Jeter chipped in 12 kills and Hugo Gonzalez Gutierrez added eight.
Benjamin Antonio compiled 43 assists and 10 digs for a double-double, and Sean Seaman was a force at the net with six total blocks, including three solo.
Gabriel Pizza led the Warriors with 23 kills.
HIU hit .152 (48-29-125) for the match.
