Fullerton, CA - The Hope International men's tennis team (5-15) fought hard but dropped their final home game 4-1 to the Menlo College Oaks on Thursday afternoon at home on Senior Day at the Fullerton Tennis Center in Fullerton, CA.

The Royals battled hard but fell early in doubles as Yahia Elsheik and Reid Lizardo lost 6-3 and both Ricky Lizardo and Felix Hamp and Thomas Folsom and Dylan Barrett lost 6-3 as the Oaks took the doubles point for a 1-0 lead. The Royals looked to bounce back in singles as Reid Lizardo won 6-1 and 6-4. However the Oaks took control of the match with Elsheikh falling 6-2, 6-2 and Kento Henderson falling 6-4, 6-2. Barrett put up a fight but also fell 6-4, 6-3 as the Oaks clinched the match 4-1. Ricky Lizardo had taken the first set in his match but couldn't hold on as his match ended up not finished with the Oaks clinching the win. Folsom put up a battle but was trailing 6-3, 4-3 at the time of completion.

The Royals will hit the road for two more matches before traveling to San Antonio, TX for the Red River Athletic Conference Championships that will take place from April 14-19 at Blossom Tennis Center.
