Kevin Snapp is in his first year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Game Day Operations at Hope International.
Snapp moves into the administrative role after serving eight seasons as an assistant coach with the Royals baseball program. In 2018, he joined HIU as the Head Junior Varsity Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach.
In his new role, Snapp will be responsible for processing eligibility for all HIU student-athletes and ensuring that all athletic programs are compliant with all NAIA rules and regulations. He also will be involved with the scheduling of home athletic events and managing of Darling Pavilion’s weekly and daily scheduling.
Snapp also will manage student workers for the Event Staff at all home athletic events.
After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Education from Old Dominion and Cal State Fullerton, respectively, Snapp began his coaching career at Esperanza High School in Yorba Linda in 2002-03. He then became the assistant coach at Cypress College from 2003-08. His next stop was Orange Coast College, where he coached from 2008-15, becoming the Associate Head Coach in 2014 and helping the team to a state championship that season.
He was the head varsity coach at Westminster High School from 2015-17 before returning to OCC in 2017 as the Associate Head Coach.
At HIU, he most recently served on head coach Larry Mahoney’s staff, helping the Royals win the 2024 NAIA national title and make back-to-back NAIA Avista World Series appearances.
Snapp is married to his wife Megan and they reside in Fullerton with their three children, Nolan, Gordan and Graham.
