SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Senior Maya Estrada-Garcia and sophomore Lupe Mata battled a loaded field on Saturday at the TMU Invite in Central Park, representing the Hope International women's cross country squad.

Facing competition from several NCAA Division I and Division II teams, Estrada-Garcia finished in the top half of the field. She clocked 24:51.0 on the 6K layout for 91st place in a field of 189 runners. 

Mata also had a strong showing as she finished in 25:03.5 for 102nd place overall.

The Royals return to action on Friday at the SF State Invitational, racing at 4:15 p.m. in Golden Gate Park's Speedway Meadow.
