Irvine, CA - The Hope International Women's Soccer team (10-1-0, 7-0 GSAC) claimed a decisive 7-0 win against the Warriors of Life Pacific University on Thursday evening at Great Park in Irvine.
The Royals started the match strong, with
Brandi Valdez netting the first goal, her fourth of the season, assisted by
Christiane Sundstrom and Ryley Canderlario. Just three minutes later,
Christiane Sundstrom notched her second assist, setting up
Jordan Galvin for her fourth goal of the season. The Royals dominated early in the game, taking six shots on goal. In the 22nd minute,
Jordan Galvin struck again, assisted by Sundstrom, to make it 3-0. The Royals continued to break down the Warriors' defense, adding a fourth goal just before halftime, assisted by
Keyla Fragoso.
The Royals started the second half strong, maintaining their offensive momentum. At the 50-minute mark,
Brandi Valdez scored her fifth goal of the season. Fresh substitutions kept the Royals energized, and in the 83rd minute,
Riley Brossia scored her first goal of the season. Following a penalty by the Warriors,
Frida Vizcarra converted a penalty kick, securing her third goal of the season and the Royals' seventh of the match.
Hope International will look to extend their GSAC campaign as they travel to Prescott, Arizona, to face Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Saturday, October 12th, at 5 p.m.
