Fullerton, CA - The Hope International Women's soccer team (1-1) fell 1-0 to the Westcliff University Warriors at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine, CA.

Westcliff started off on the front foot as they created several corner kick opportunities early in the first half. The Royals then took control as their first major opportunity came in the 15^th minute as Sarah Ralston was in on goal but took an extra touch and was unable to convert. The game remained scoreless until the 30^th minute as the Warriors converted a penalty to take a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Royals didn't give up as they upped the pressure in the second half and had several late chances but were unable to convert as they fell 1-0.

The Royals continue their season on the road as they take on SOKA on Saturday, August 27 at 7:00 PM
