Santa Barbara, CA - The Hope International women's soccer team (8-6-1, 2-4) dropped their second game in a row as they fell 3-1 to the Westmont College Warriors on Saturday afternoon in Santa Barbara, CA

Both teams created some early chances, but it would be the Warriors who would strike first in the 23rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. After the goal the Warriors continued pressing forward which allowed the Royals to create several counterattack opportunities but the Warriors would strike again in the 36th minute to increase their advantage to 2-0. The game would then go into halftime with the Royals trailing 2-0. The Royals continued to generate chances in the second half as they looked to get back in the game. The breakthrough would come in the 67th minute as Sarah Ralston converted a penalty to pull the Royals within 2-1. The Royals then searched for the equalizer but the Warriors would score again in the 77th minute as the Royals fell 3-1.

The Royals continue GSAC play at home on Thursday, October 27 at 12:00 PM as they take on San Diego Christian at OC Great Park Field 18 in Irvine, CA.
